Attendance and Tardy Expectations
As we all know, Attendance Matters!
- Students should miss no more than 9 days of school each year to stay engaged, successful and on track for graduation.
- Frequent absences can be a sign that your student is struggling with school work or another stressor
- That 9th grade attendance is a better predictor of graduation than 8th grade testing
We have worked to strengthened our expectations and supports to improve student attendance. Please be aware that consequences for student tardiness and attendance have been aligned with the state's Attendance Matters campaign and can be found in our Student Handbook on page 10.
