Wishing You a Joyful Winter Break!
As we wrap up the final days before winter break, we want to take a moment to express gratitude to students, staff, and the community who have rallied together to make wonderful things happen at CHS!
Amongst many recent events, our music program hosted their Winter Concert and entertained our community with their talents. Cardinal Dynamics held a successful movie night that brought people together to benefit our outstanding robotics team. CHS leadership students engaged students and staff at our December assembly that concluded with a dance off between the Corbett Cardinal and Corbett Fire’s Christmas Chicken! Finally, winter sports are off to a great start in the pool, on the mat, and on the court. We are so proud of these and the many efforts that make Corbett such a great space to learn.
At the center of the CHS community is a classroom experience facilitated by the hard work of our dedicated teachers and staff. Their commitment to fostering growth, encouraging curiosity, and supporting every student is inspiring.
As we head into the winter break, we hope everyone enjoys some well-deserved rest and quality time with those they love. Winter Break officially begins on Monday, 12/23/24 and then school resumes on Monday, 1/6/25. We look forward to seeing you all in the new year, ready to continue our journey of growth and success!

Track and Field Winter Workouts!
Athletes not participating in a winter sport who might be interested in Track and Field, now is the time to make sure you’ll be ready when the season officially starts on March 3rd! For the foreseeable future, the Cards will train from 4:00-5:00pm on Mondays and Thursdays. The group will primarily be in the weight room, but will head outside as weather allows. Some of the training will be discipline specific, but the majority of training will be generalized to lay a strong foundation for the upcoming season.
These trainings are not mandatory and are open to all athletes regardless of whether they have already committed to Track and Field or are still unsure. Spread the word to friends and other athletes who are considering joining Cardinal Track and Field. If you have questions, please reach out to Mrs. Davis or Mr. Rondema!

Seniors are reminded that some colleges and universities had their early action/early application deadlines on November 1st and others are coming up. Each institution sets their own deadline, so students should make sure to check the timelines for the schools they are hoping to attend. If a student missed early action, it just means that they will apply in the next window.
Ms. Pekny, our school counselor, is here to support you and your family every step of the way. If you have any questions at the moment, please reach out to Ms. Pekny at spekny@corbett.k12.or.us and she’ll be happy to help!
Ms. Pekny is also organizing group college visits this fall. Check out the Senior Google Classroom for more information.
