Principal's Message
Dragon Families,
As we approach spring break, I wanted to take a moment to extend my warmest wishes to each and every one of you. I hope this break offers everyone a chance to relax, rejuvenate, and spend quality time with loved ones. Whether you are planning a getaway, taking time to relax, or spending time with loved ones, I hope you and your student are able to take some time to recharge. Here are a few celebrations:
- March is Reading Month has been a month of excitement around literacy! We were “Cooking Up Good Books” all month long. I hope you enjoyed connecting with your family around literacy. I have had great conversations with the kids about the book!
- The “Tournament of Books” was another highlight of the month! We are excited that The Panda Problem was our overall winner!
- This week we had a “Teacher Swap” where teachers went to various classrooms to read!
- I have loved having so many of you in the building as mystery readers!
As always, thank you for your dedication, hard work, and commitment to our school community. Together, we have achieved so much, and I’m excited to see what we’ll accomplish in the coming months!
Mrs. Keegan
Proud Principal of Schroeder Elementary

Michigan Science Center visits Schroeder with a cool science experiment just in time for MIRM!
Schroeder students investigated how temperature relates to the movement of atoms and molecules in this exciting presentation. Utilizing liquid nitrogen (LN2) students learned about the ‘cool’ effects on solids, liquids and gases! Thank you Schroeder PTO for bringing this educational experience for our students!
Schroeder students took the MIRM reading goal to heart! Over 1,000 reading tickets were submitted which earned a school-wide Sundae Surprise assembly. Schroeder teachers and staff fostering the love of reading in many ways! Thank you, Principal Keegan for being the cherry on top of this year's MIRM! 💖📚🍨
