🐍 ANNOUNCEMENTS
🔬 STEAM TEAM WINNERS!
Magnolia's STEAM Team, Victor Dy, Josiah Davis, Alleina Alonso, and Violet DeWeerdt, all worked extremely hard on their science inquiry projects and represented us at the Nevada County STEAM Expo. Victor Dy took 2nd Place for 7th grade and Violet DeWeerdt took 3rd Place for 6th grade! Additionally, Violet will represent Magnolia at the California Science and Engineering Fair in April. CONGRATS TEAM! Magnolia's STEAM Team is now accepting new members interested in doing fun science projects at lunch. They meet in C4 every Thursday at lunch. Questions? Email: kadams@prsd.us
👟 TRACK START DATE POSTPONED
Due to Monday's rainy weather, Magnolia's Track & field team will postpone their start date to Wednesday April 2 at 3:30 p.m. on the Bear River Track. Students who wish to participate need to turn in an athletic clearance package. Practices will be Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5 p.m. Questions? 🗽 NIGHT IN NEW YORK DANCE
"Night in New York" Dance tickets will be sold April 1-9 at room B6 for 6th grade and room B3 for 7th and 8th grade. The dance is Friday, April 11. It costs $5 for just the entrance ticket; it is $10 for a pizza package ticket, which includes a slice of pizza, a drink and candy. Students must meet school behavior and grade policies to attend. 🍲 PTM SOUP DONATIONS
PTM is hosting a Spring SOUPer luncheon for staff. They need crock pots of soup, sides or desserts. Please deliver items by 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 3. Volunteers may drop off during school drop off or leave soup with the office. PTM will set up up the luncheon and plug in all crockpots. Please label crockpots and items to be returned with name, phone number and type of dish. If possible, please use crock pot liners for easy clean up.
