Financial Aid Night A Success at BHS
Thank you to all of the BHS families that attended Financial Aid night last Thursday! What's Going On In Physical Education Classes at BHS?
In Physical Education classes, students are focusing on the Connecticut Physical Fitness Test. Students are building their cardiovascular endurance on the track twice a week, focusing on building up their stamina on the track. They are also working hard in the weight room twice a week, focusing on muscular endurance and strength, which correlates with the push-up and curl-up portion of the Fitness Test. This practice will continue until about Halloween, so it is imperative that students dress appropriately for the weather and put forth their best effort.
In Health class, students have begun an alcohol unit focusing on the effects of alcohol on the body, related terminology and how alcohol affects a driver. In the next 2 weeks, students will be doing our "drinking and driving" lab, where students will go through a course using drunk goggles to simulate being intoxicated. Students will practice driving the golf cart both sober (without glasses) and intoxicated (with glasses).
