Ticketing, IDs, and other Expectations
District 196 Policies for Attending Football Games
PURPOSE- District 196’s four comprehensive high schools, including AVHS, are once again implementing safety protocols and requirements to attend varsity football games this year (along with other District 196 Sporting Events) to help ensure a safe and fun environment for all teams, officials and fans.
IDs Required for All District 196 High School Students
EVERYONE needs a ticket for Football games AND all high school age students must also show their physical student ID card (Schoology/Campus/Photo of ID etc. will NOT be accepted) in order to attend. Only high school students from AVHS will be allowed to sit on the home side of the stadium. High school students from the visiting team or any other high school student without an AVHS ID must sit on the visiting side of the stadium.
IDs- For the first two home games on August 29 and September 13 (prior to Picture Day and ID distribution) last year's physical ID OR Campus login will be accepted for identification.
8th Gr. & Under Require Parent/Guardian/Caretaker Supervision at Football Games
- Students younger than high school age will need a ticket (if in K-8) and must be accompanied by a parent/guardian/adult caretaker who is responsible for them for the duration of their time in the stadium.
- 8th Grade and under students and their parent/guardian/caretaker must check-in at a separate entrance line designated for them.
- Middle School students will have a designated seating area with Middle School staff members supervising or students should be seated with their parent/guardian/adult caretaker. All spectators must remain in the bleachers unless going to the bathroom or purchasing concessions.
District 196 Stadium Rules and Expectations for Football Games
Gates open one hour prior to kick-off
No Backpacks/Bags allowed in the Stadium. All purses/small handbags are subject to search upon entry.
No outside food/beverage is allowed to be brought in the Stadium.
No entrance after the end of the second quarter, even with a purchased ticket.
No re-entry. Once someone leaves, they will not be readmitted.
All spectators must remain in the bleachers at all times unless purchasing concessions or using the restrooms. Absolutely NO LOITERING/HANGING OUT on the plaza or restroom area.
No footballs or other athletic equipment.
All event attendees must be picked up or leave campus within 10 minutes after the event ends. AVHS staff will announce a reminder to arrange rides home before the event concludes.
District 196 Policies Other Fall/Non-Football Athletic Events
Students with a Physical AVHS ID are admitted FREE to all regular season Apple Valley High School games played in District 196.
If AVHS is not participating OR you do not have your Physical ID you will be required to buy a ticket on Vanco. (Last year's ID or Campus Profile will be allowed for entry prior to all games played before September 13th)

South Suburban Conference & MSHSL Guidelines for Events
Lead by positive example and demonstrate respect and support for others.
Refrain from using profanity or ethnic, racial, religious, ability or gender-based comments, posts or messages directed at participants, directors, coaches, officials, spectators, or team representatives.
Honor each contest and all involved, including participants, directors, coaches, officials, spectators, and team representatives.
Handheld signs, which do not obstruct the view of others, will be permitted provided they are in support of our own team.
No spectators are allowed on the playing surface at anytime.
No throwing of objects in the stands or onto the playing surface.
No pets allowed at MSHSL events.
Laser lights are strictly prohibited.
Artificial noise makers (i.e. megaphones, cowbells, sirens, whistles, thunder sticks, and other similar items) are not allowed.
Ticket Information
All Spectators for all AVHS Athletics Events will need to purchase a ticket ONLINE through VANCO

- We will also have a QR Code available at the gate to purchase tickets at the game.
- Tickets for all games will go on sale 48 hours in advance of each game.
Ticket Prices
- Adults: $7 (plus applicable fees)
- K-12 Students: $5 (plus applicable fees).
- Senior Citizens ages 62+: FREE OF CHARGE (and no ticket necessary) to all District 196 Regular season Home Games. Just notify the ticket person at the gate and have your ID available if requested.
Tickets are required for High School students attending football games in District 196.
NOTE that once we reach Stadium Capacity at football games, no more tickets will be sold!
