This Sunday, December 1st, we begin a new Liturgical year in the Catholic Church AND the season of Advent.

This is a special time in our church to continue at home with our families and as individuals as we prepare (through prayer, sacrifice, and penance) for the second coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Youth & Teens each received a Little Blue Book with stories and devotionals to guide them and their families in prayer to grow closer to God this Advent.

This is a perfect companion when lighting the candles of the Advent wreath each day the season.

Join us as we begin a year of celebrating leading to the 50th Anniversary of our parish on the Feast of St. Nicholas!

Mass at 6pm, followed by a presentation and a potluck dinner. All ages are invited to attend.

The coordinators of the Christmas Pageant have asked that our Youth and Teens participate as assistants.

Youth & Teens will also be the servers for all of the ministry positions & choir at the 5pm Mass.

Both of these are great opportunities for our Youth & Teens, and it would be very special for all of St. Nick's to see them joining and supporting our parish as we prepare for Christmas!

We are extending our regular time by 1 hour due to the St. Nicholas Feast Day Celebration.

Youth and Teens (6th-12th grade/ EDGE & HSYG) are invited to enjoy an evening together on Friday, December 6th, 5:30-9:30pm.

This will be an opportunity for the Youth & Teens to share a meal, complete a service project, and have social time together. Dinner will be provided.

Next class will be this Sunday Dec. 1st, 1:30-3pm in the Youth Room.

It is mandatory for both the Catholic parent and candidate to attend the sessions.

Ages 5-17 years old are invited to Oratory at 1pm every Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral.

While we have had quite a few wonderful parishioners volunteer to assist in EDGE & HSYG, their schedules do fluctuate and it would be very helpful to have more who are willing to assist.

Per the Diocese policy for the safety of everyone, a minimum of 2 certified adults are required to be present for all Youth Ministry activities.

Please prayerfully consider completing your certification, and/ or asking individuals who you think would be a willing volunteer. Or, you can submit suggestions for me to contact. Thank you. -Beth
