Santiago Charter Middle School
Friday Newsletter: May 9, 2025
Hello Santiago Families-
A huge thank you to our amazing PTSA for spoiling our staff this week, and to all the parents who generously donated their time, food, money, and gift cards- your kindness and support mean the world to us!
State Testing Week: State testing begins Monday, May 12th, and by now, families should be aware of their student's assigned testing session-either AM or PM. This week, all students attended a testing assembly where they reviewed important information, asked questions, and then visited their assigned testing rooms to get familiar with the space and feel comfortable for testing day.
Please help your students start strong by making sure they get a good night's sleep each night leading up to and during the testing week. A healthy breakfast is also key to success. Our cafeteria opens at 7:15am and serves fresh, hot breakfasts daily. If your student is in the AM session, we encourage them to arrive early to eat before testing begins. Testing promptly starts at 8am, so please ensure your student is on campus and seated in the testing room BEFORE the 8am bell.
PM session students should arrive on time (10:45am) and head straight to the cafeteria for lunch before going to their assigned testing room. Nutrition services will be available for students in both AM and PM sessions.
8th Graders Attending Orange High School: If you are planning on taking the summer health class, please register here: OHS Summer School-Health/Ethnic Studies 2025. The deadline to register will be June 6th.
