It's been a while since Karin did quick tip updates via a newsletter...we're working to bring this feature back to consolidate some of the firehose of information. :)

We're hearing now and then that ILLs aren't always behaving nicely in TLC. We've reported this to TLC for further enhancement. But we're also wondering if sometimes steps are being accidentally skipped. Print those steps to make it easier as you get the hang of things, and keep us in the loop.

If in doubt, go to "Check in" for that item in TLC's LS2 Staff, each step of the process. This seems to be the handshake the TLC system needs to know before going to the next step.

(And Karin does have some magical powers to get "in transit" items back into circulation, too.)

Even if you're about to check it out, check it in first.

**TLC Schools Alternative for Requesting an Item**:

If you're feeling confident and want to give this a try, there is an alternative way a librarian can place requests that looks closer to our former system. The downside is you are placing the request yourself, as the librarian, but you may very well like it better. The other steps are still done using LS2 Staff.
