Tiger Connection
August 12th, 2024
Welcome to the 2024-25 School Year at Mansfield High!
Tigers Families,
I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new principal of Mansfield High School. It is with great pride and excitement that I step into this role, and I am eager to embark on this journey with all of you.
As a proud graduate of Mansfield High School, I have always carried the spirit of our school with me. My time as a student here was filled with memorable experiences, and it laid the foundation for my passion for education. I eventually returned to MHS as a teacher. These experiences have deepened my connection to our school community and strengthened my commitment to fostering a positive and enriching environment for all.
My Tiger Pride runs deep, and I am dedicated to upholding the values and traditions that make Mansfield High School such a special place. I believe in the potential of every student and am committed to providing the support and resources needed to help each one succeed. Together, we will continue to build on the strong foundation of excellence that defines our school.
I look forward to partnering with you to make this school year a successful and rewarding one. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, concerns, or ideas you may have.
With Tiger Pride,
Kourtney Gates

Important Information
- Make sure your students checks their schedule in Skyward on Tuesday.
- We will give a paper copy to students 1st period on Wednesday.
- Dress code will be enforced on the first day of classes.
- Most students picked up IDs during schedule pick up. We will issue IDs Wednesday - Thursday for students who do not have one. Our goal is to have all students with an ID by Friday. Once all students have been issued an ID, the expectation is that they wear it while on campus and school events.
- We do not accept food deliveries for any students. If parents drop off food, it will be the responsibility of the student to come to the front to get it. We do not have the front office staff to manage this, it is a safety and security concern, and it does interfere with classroom instruction. We do have a cafeteria for students who are on campus all day and we serve breakfast and lunch.
Safety
Campus security is a number one priority for all of us. We have worked diligently to review all our procedures to make sure we have done everything we can do to keep us all safe. We strongly encourage you to have conversations with your child to discuss following campus procedures, taking drills seriously and letting administration or teachers know of any concerns about our campus and the students that attend. Every student and visitor must go through the Evolv Weapon Detection System. Students need to plan for this delay and allow plenty of time to get to class. We do enforce tardies and students who are late will need to walk around the building to gain entrance.
Bell Schedule
Students may enter the building beginning at 6:55am
Remaining Device Deployment
Take note, tomorrow is our last centralized deployment date for 9th grade and new-to-district students. Once this deployment is complete, students/families will need to enter a work order for their campus technician. Note, turnaround times may be longer than normal due to high ticket counts and workload. Please partner with us to encourage students/families to come tomorrow. See device distribution schedule HERE.
