Principal's Message
Dear Families,
As I reflect on these first few months as your principal, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support you've shown me and our staff. It has been an incredible start to this journey, and I am inspired daily by the enthusiasm and dedication of our students, staff, and families at Greeley.
In these first months, we’ve made great strides together as a school community. One big highlight includes successfully introducing new security practices in collaboration with our Director of Security, Ray Finnerty, in order to enhance the safety of our campus. Additionally, our teachers are deep into our journey of implementing new literacy curriculum in every single Greeley classroom. It has been wonderful to see how these efforts are already making a positive impact on our school community.
Your partnership has been instrumental in these successes, and I’m excited about all that lies ahead this school year.
Warmly,
Principal Kopinski

Reminders from Last Week
Divorce Support Group for Students
The Greeley Behavioral Health Team (BHT) will be starting an 8-week divorce support group. The purpose of this group will be to provide a space at school for students to talk about changes at home, feelings associated with divorce, and provide a sense of community. We will be meeting 2x per month and the group will be capped at 6 students (available parents who sign up first). If there is a need, there will be another 8-week session offered later in the year.
If you would like your child to be part of this group or have any questions, please email Katie Kalogriopoulos, school social worker, at katiekalogriopoulos@winnetka36.org.
Discovery Clubs
Discovery Clubs (formerly referred to as after-school electives), offer specialty programming for Greeley students after the school day ends. These seasonal Clubs are offered in three sessions - fall, winter and spring - with five Club programs per session, each on a different day of the week. Greeley PTO works with the Discovery Club provider, Right at School, to offer an array of programming targeting activities such as STEM, arts and movement with offerings across age groups. Look for more information about Discovery Clubs and winter Club offerings in upcoming PTO newsletters or on the Discovery Club website: https://www.rightatschool.com/discoveryclubs/.
