DES Family Engagement
This year at DES, one of our focus areas is family engagement. We know that when families are involved in their child's education, everyone wins. In addition to Open House, Conferences and Family Literacy Night in March, we have planned opportunities for each grade level to engage with families in fun and educational activities throughout the year and we hope you'll be able to join us when the time comes.
PBIS Updates from Mr. Briggs
All grade levels had a PBIS assembly where the students learned what our "Viking Value" is for the month of September: The Playground. We saw the most behavior referrals on the playground last year, so that is an area of focus to start the school year. Students will earn ROW tickets daily. One student from each class will be their Weekly PBIS Winner. At the end of the month, each class will have a PBIS Winner for September. That student will be able to pie Mrs. Love or Mr. Briggs in the face at the October Viking Value of the Month assembly!
