Tumuaki Korero
Kia ora e te whānau,
What a busy and exciting term it has been so far—we can’t believe how quickly the time is flying! Our students are currently working through assessments to help set their learning goals for the year, ensuring they have clear pathways to success.
📚 Teacher Only Day – Monday 17 March
To support the introduction of the new mathematics curriculum, we have a Teacher Only Day on Monday, 17 March. Our staff will be participating in professional development alongside Tua Marina, Mayfield, and Grovetown Schools, facilitated by Evaluation Associates. This valuable time will help strengthen our teaching practices and enhance learning opportunities for our tamariki. Thank you for your understanding and support.
👩🏫 Welcome Lydia Huntly!
A warm welcome to Lydia Huntly, who is in her final year of teacher training. She has joined us in our Awhi Class, and we are so pleased to have her as part of our Spring Creek School whānau!
🌱 Kaitiakitanga – Caring for Our Taiao
At Spring Creek School, we are always learning how to be kaitiaki of our environment. Currently, our tamariki are exploring the native plants in our school garden—learning how to care for them, their history, and their role in supporting wildlife like bees, birds, and insects. This hands-on learning helps our students develop a deep connection with their taiao.
We would love whānau support to help maintain our beautiful garden! If you have time to lend a hand, please feel free to pop in for a chat.
🤝 We Need Your Help!
As a small school, we rely on the support of our amazing whānau to help with fundraising, events, and garden maintenance. A notice will be coming home soon where you can let us know how you’d like to be involved. Your time, skills, and energy are always valued and appreciated—together, we can ensure our kura continues to thrive!
Have a fantastic weekend!
Me mahi tahi tātau mō te oranga o te katoa.
Working together for all to succeed, nobody is left behind
Ngā manaakitanga,
