We hope you all had a restful summer break and ready to start a great 2024-2025 school year!
School will begin on Monday, August 26, 2024. This will be a HALF DAY of school for all students. CLASSES WILL BE DISMISSED AT 11:45.
There is very limited supervision before school begins. If your child does not ride the bus, please plan your time accordingly. Please make sure that your child is at school by 8:35. At 8:50 your child is TARDY and you will need to come into the building and sign them in. If your child needs to be picked before dismissal, please call us by 11:30 to let us know what time your child will be picked up.
The school hours are as follows:
8:35 a.m. – First Bell rings
8:40 – Classes Start
3:40 – Students Dismissed
We ask that you please be patient the first week of school, things will fall into place shortly. If you have any problems or concerns with bussing, please call DEAN Transportation at 313-274-3510.
Breakfast is served at 8:15 daily. Please use the car line and have your child enter the building from Door #1 if they would like to have breakfast. Please note supervision does not begin until 8:15 daily. Students may begin to arrive at 8:15 and will come right into the building and wait by their lockers if they choose to not have breakfast.
If you plan on sending lunch in with your child, please make every effort to send it with them. If for any reason you are unable to send it with them, then you will need to make sure your child’s lunch is labeled with their name and grade level. Please drop off your child’s lunch before 11:15.

MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION:
This year MDE is introducing something new for districts. We recognize some districts and intermediate school districts have an established process to award local teachers of the year. If so, representatives of districts may email teacher nominations directly to MTOY@Michigan.gov. Please include teacher name, personal identification code (PIC), email address, and school employed. An email verifying receipt will be sent within 48 hours. Nominations from districts will be accepted now until September 25, 2024.
