Happy October Owens Elementary Community!
I hope this Jackrabbit Journal newsletter finds you well. I’m excited to go from the heat of the summer months to more pleasant temperatures so that we can enjoy more time outdoors.
I strongly believe that all students are capable of achieving their academic and behavioral goals if we work together to support them. Parents and schools are partners in this effort and must work together to help students understand that school and education are important. Students who attend school regularly and on time have a better chance of success than those who don’t. The same applies to students who spend time at home reading every day and engaging in activities that enrich their knowledge such as helping in the kitchen, organizing at home, or even gardening. Let’s continue to work together to meet your child’s individual needs and ensure they in the right path to success.

Espero que esta edición del boletín “Jackrabbit Journal” lo encuentre bien. Estoy emocionado de pasar de los calurosos meses de verano a temperaturas más placenteras para poder disfrutar un poco mas de tiempo afuera. Yo creo firmemente en que todos los estudiantes son capaces de alcanzar sus metas académicas y de comportamiento si trabajamos juntos, ustedes y la escuela para apoyarlos. Los padres y las escuelas son socios en estos esfuerzos y debemos trabajar juntos para ayudar a nuestros estudiantes a entender que la escuela y su educación son importantes. Los estudiantes que asisten a escuela regularmente y a tiempo, tiene mas probabilidades de lograr el éxito que los que no lo hacen. Lo mismo también sucede con estudiantes que invierten tiempo en la casa leyendo o haciendo actividades que enriquecen sus conocimientos como ayudando en la cocina, ayudando a organizar en la casa o hasta haciendo jardinería. Continuemos trabajando juntos para así cubrir las necesidades individuales de su hijo(a) y asegurarnos de que estén en camino al éxito.

5 LOVE LANGUAGES FOR KIDS

· Discover how to speak the language of love to your children, in many ways.
· Discover how to use the love languages to help your children learn better.
· Discover how to discipline and correct with more love and effectiveness.
- we offer a series of 4 afternoon sessions.
- Sessions are offered in English and Spanish.
- Attendees will receive a copy of the book “the five language of love”
WE OFFER CHILDCARE FOR KIDS OVER 3 YEARS OLD.

* Descubre como usar los lenguajes del amor para ayudar a tus hijos a que
aprendan mejor.
* Descubre como disciplinar y corregir con mas amor y eficacia.
· Ofrecemos una serie de 4 sesiones en la tarde. Las sesiones se ofrecen en Ingles y Español.
· Los asistentes recibiran una copia del libro “Los cinco lenguajes del amor”
