Principal's Message
Dear Families and Caregivers,
Thanksgiving is a time to reflect on the things that matter most—gratitude, connection, and the traditions that bring us together. For me, the day begins with watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, a journey to Maine to spend the day with family, sharing delicious food, watching football, and enjoying naps in between. These moments remind me of the simple joys that make life special.
This holiday is also a time to think about those who are no longer with us—loved ones who touched our lives in profound ways and whose memories continue to shape who we are. As we gather with family and friends, may we hold their spirit close, finding comfort in shared stories and traditions.
At Memorial Elementary, we are especially thankful for the little things that bring joy to our days—the laughter of children echoing through our halls, the curiosity in their eyes as they discover something new, and the small acts of kindness that show the care we have for one another.
We are grateful to be part of a community that truly values every child, celebrating their unique gifts and ensuring they feel seen, heard, and included. It is this spirit of inclusivity, compassion, and collaboration that strengthens the bonds between our students, staff, and families and makes Memorial a special place for all.
As we head into the holiday season, let us continue to lift each other up, embrace the beauty of diversity, and take a moment to appreciate the simple joys around us. Thank you for being part of our Memorial family and for your unwavering support in making our school a place where every child can thrive.
Wishing you and your loved ones a warm and joyful Thanksgiving!
Regards,
Troy
Point Of Pride
Memorial's Music Man
At Memorial Elementary, we are fortunate to have educators who bring passion and creativity to their teaching, and Mr. Tom Rice is a shining example. As our music teacher, Mr. Rice consistently goes above and beyond to create a learning environment that inspires and engages every student.
Through fun and interactive music activities, Mr. Rice fosters a love for music while incorporating rich lessons in music history. Whether it's hands-on rhythm exercises, exploring cultural music traditions, or school-wide performances, his innovative approach ensures that every child finds joy and growth in music.
Mr. Rice's dedication to our students and his enthusiasm for his craft bring the magic of music to life, helping our learners build confidence, teamwork, and a deeper appreciation for the arts.
Thank you, Mr. Rice, for the energy and expertise you pour into your work. Your contributions make Memorial a vibrant and harmonious place for students to grow and thrive!
Let’s all join in celebrating Mr. Rice—he is truly a Point of Pride!

COAT DRIVE
Join Us in Supporting the Coat Drive for Families in Need
This year, Memorial School is partnering with the Natick High School National Honor Society to support the "Coats for Kids and Families" initiative. As we approach the colder months, we recognize that this can be a difficult time for many families. Together, we have the opportunity to make a positive impact by collecting winter coats for those in need.
The coat drive will run from December 1st to December 18th. The mission is simple; anyone who needs a coat will have one. A donation box will be located in the front lobby of the school for you to drop off coats. Your generosity will help provide warmth and comfort to local families this winter.
Thank you for your support and for helping us make a difference in our community.
The Memorial PTO is a parent and teacher run, non-profit organization committed to enhancing and enriching the education of our students and fostering a sense of community within our school. The PTO provides assistance to teachers within the classroom settings, raises funds for educational materials and experiences, advocates school and family social interaction, and provides an unbiased forum for sharing information on issues that impact our students. We believe in cultivating a positive learning environment to allow for students to achieve their highest potential. Please become an active participant in the PTO. Below is the link to their website:
