Educational Services
Hello PJUSD Parents and Guardians,
PJUSD is seeking your feedback on PJUSD’s progress on building relationships between school staff and families, building partnerships with families to enhance student outcomes, and seeking input for decision making by completing a brief Parent Involvement and Family Engagement Survey. The results of the survey will be used to assist PJUSD with improving parent involvement and engagement and inform the development of our District’s Local Control Accountability Plan, LCAP. The brief survey should take several minutes to complete.
Please provide your feedback no later than Friday, April 18.

April is National Stress Awareness Month
Stress is a natural part of life — but too much of it can affect our physical and mental health. April serves as a reminder to recognize stress, understand its effects, and take steps to manage it.
Why it matters:
Chronic stress can contribute to serious health issues like heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, and anxiety. While some stress can be motivating, constant pressure can leave us feeling burned out and overwhelmed.
Tips to manage stress:
Listen to your body. Signs like tension, irritability, or difficulty concentrating can be stress-related. Practice deep breathing, stretching, or journaling to help relax.
Prioritize self-care. Exercise, sleep, and quiet time aren’t luxuries — they’re essential. Even small daily habits like reading or enjoying music can help.
Build structure. Routines can provide a sense of control and help you identify stress early.
Stay connected. Reach out to friends, family, or support groups. A quick check-in can make a big difference.
Reframe challenges. Shift your perspective—see setbacks as opportunities to pause, reflect, or grow.
Seek support. If stress is impacting your well-being, speak with a healthcare provider. For immediate help, call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 1-800-273-TALK (8255) or use the 24/7 Lifeline Chat.
Taking care of your mental health is part of living well. This April, let’s commit to recognizing and managing stress — for ourselves and each other.
Information Technology
Student Data Privacy and Applications
This has been a very busy year of process improvement and student data protection. We have been working closely with Educational Services to review apps and services our students use to ensure their data and privacy is protected. An approved list of student apps is posted on our Technology webpage, click Student Data Privacy Approved Applications.
Clever Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for Students
To help keep student accounts and information safe, our school district is adding a new security step when students log in to Clever. This is called Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). It means that after students enter their password, they’ll need to take one more quick step to prove it’s really them—like entering a special code. This extra step helps protect student accounts from being hacked, even if someone else knows their password. As more learning happens online, this added protection is an important way to keep student information private and secure.
