Literacy night was a great success. We had over 300 people in attendance. The pizza was delicious, thank you PTA. The literacy stations were filled with fun activities. The night concluded with a visit from Jungle Terry. Every kid had the opportunity to touch a big snake.

As kids left the were given a new book.

Everyone enjoyed themselves, thank you for spending the evening with us.

We have concluded our annual right to read week. We had special guest readers, reading with buddies, reading in the wilderness and lots of reading at home. The week ended with an assembly, where students competed against staff in a jumanji like game and the assembly ended with myself getting hit with many banana cream pies. I believe 8 pies were thrown and 7 of them were a direct hit to my face. Everyone enjoyed the assembly, laughed and cheered. It was a great way to end the week.

Reading is important, we hope you continue to read 10 - 20 minutes every night.

We celebrate our January student's of the month. We ate a lot pizza and had wonderful conversations.

Student in:

K -1 taught me how to dance.

2 -3 showed me some cheers

4 - 5 we played musical chairs and some students showed us their talents.

6 -7 filled me in on making Tic/Toks.

It was a wonderful day, celebrating kids who are great leaders in our building and deserve the recognition.

Our guidelines for cold temperatures will be followed and monitored closely.

The temperature for outdoor recess is 20 degrees with the windchill.

Please make sure student have appropriate gear to be in the elements.

Winter coats, gloves, hats and boots are important.

You can send in shoes to wear in school and they can wear their boots out. Also feel free to send in an extra pair of socks or pants, sometimes the students clothing gets wet.

If students are not allowed to go out in the cold weather, they will need to have a doctors note that outlines the guidelines we are to follow (temperature, conditions etc) and the medical diagnosis. Parents are not permitted to write a note stating you want them to stay in due to a cough/cold etc. If we have no note on file, students will go outside on outdoor recess days. If you have sent in a doctor's note in the past, this needs to be updated each year.

Ohio State Assessments begin at the end of March. Below are the days, grade levels affected and area of testing. Please refer to these dates and try to avoid appointments or vacations during the days your child is testing.
