UES Monthly Newsletter
December: Emapthy in Action
Dear Families and Caregivers,
As we reflect on the month of November, I want to share how meaningful our Heart of the Tiger Gratitude Event was for our school. It was wonderful to see our students and staff come together to express what they are thankful for and celebrate the power of gratitude as a community. Events like these highlight the strong, positive connections we foster at UES every day.
This month, our focus shifts to empathy. Empathy helps us connect, understand, and support one another. We have several exciting events planned, including our celebration of Inclusive Schools Week from December 2nd-6th. Each day will feature different activities and theme days to highlight the value of inclusivity and the many ways our diversity enriches our community.
In addition, we are collecting donations for Toys for Tots to bring joy to children in need this holiday season. We’ll also welcome the Madrigals to share their talents, and we’ll be celebrating the many holidays our community observes with inclusivity and joy.
As always, we encourage all students to embody the UES Big Three:
- Make Safe Choices
- Respect Others
- Build Community
Thank you for your ongoing support and for being part of our vibrant school community. Together, let’s continue to make UES a place where everyone feels valued, respected, and inspired to grow.
Warm regards,
Dr. J and the UES Leadership Team
Township Construction Project Near UES
We wanted to inform you about a construction project taking place near our school. The Township has notified us that sewer line construction will occur for several weeks beginning on Monday December 2nd. During the first portion of the construction the bike path will be inaccessible for student walkers and bikers. During the 2nd half, the sidewalk alongside the school building on Salem Crossing Road will be inaccessible. We are working closely with the township construction team to ensure safety and minimal disruption to our school day.
