Electronic Student Devices - cell phones and watches
As more students bring cell phones and watches with wi-fi and data capabilities, it is
important to remember and inform your children about the policy of using them while at
school. During school hours, students must keep the phone in the locker/cubby or
backpack and have it turned off. If a parent needs to contact their child or a child needs
to contact a parent, that communication must go through the school and in most cases
the main office. Watches are another area where communication may occur if wi-fi or
data are enabled. Students may wear watches and use the watches for time telling
purposes or tracking their steps and other non-communication purposes. However, if
students and parents are using the watch to call and text each other, those devices will
be viewed more for communication and will be asked to be put away each day like a cell
phone. Thank you for your attention to this matter and following these rules.
School Fees
School fees have been sent home. Please note that school fees do not go away at the end of the school year. They continue accumulating year to year, and can become a large issue if not taken care of on a yearly basis. Per district policy, students may not participate in extracurricular activities until all student fees are paid. These activities include: safety patrol, student council, Kids in the Community, Erieview choir, and other designated school events. Please send in payment or complete payment online for the amount owed.
Payment options:
You may pay school fees online at www.payschoolcentral.com
Payments may also be made by check/money order and should be made payable to Erieview Elementary. Please include your student’s name on the memo line of your check. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter.
"Attention pianists and other instrumentalists!
Mrs. Walker is looking for students to share their hard work and musical talent during our Erieview Holiday Concert on December 18th. Each year, I ask that students who are studying piano, or another instrument, play music in between grade levels, while one group is exiting the stage, and the next group is coming onto the stage. It's a great chance for your child to have a little spotlight, and a joy for the audience to hear them play! If your child is interested, please follow the link below to sign them up. I do need to hear them play their song, and there is a place to sign up for that in the form as well. Thank you and I look forward to hearing all of their beautiful music!
