From the Office
Happy Wednesday Cherrydale Families!
On Monday, we will observe Veterans Day, a time to honor and remember the men and women who have served our country. This day is not only a well-deserved break from school, but a reminder of the sacrifices made by veterans in order to protect our freedoms and way of life.
As a community, it’s important that we take a moment to reflect on their bravery and commitment. Whether through attending local ceremonies, sharing stories of veterans within your family, or simply taking a moment of silence, we encourage all families to find a way to honor these heroes.
We are grateful for the courage and dedication of all who have served and continue to serve. Thank you for helping us instill in our students the importance of respect, gratitude, and patriotism.
Have a meaningful and reflective Veterans Day.
Christine Firth, Principal
Reminder for Kinder & 1st grade Families
Tonight is our Literacy Night from 5-6 PM. This is a wonderful opportunity for you to see what we’re working on in phonics and reading instruction. We will also be providing resources to help support your child’s learning at home. A literacy night event is in the works for grades 2-3 after the new year.
Thank you for your continued support of our Cheetah Community!
It is important the district receives one completed form for every student, including our Running Start and Skills Center students - whether or not their parents/guardians live or work on federal property - because each completed form generates revenue for the district.
Completing the form is easy! Click to complete the form included in the ParentSquare post Action Required - Impact Aid - Every Survey Counts!
The first K-3 class to reach a 100% return rate will receive a pizza party with a surprise guest, and all classes with a 100% return rate will receive popsicles. The results will be announced no later than December 2, 2024.
Surveys are due by November 21, 2024. If you have questions, please contact your child's school directly.
We are actively seeking dedicated individuals to join our team in various roles, including teachers, paraeducators, and substitutes. If you're passionate about fostering a supportive learning environment and making a positive impact, we want you on our team!
