Hello Wonderful Ranger Families!

It was a great week here at Elk Ridge. Students have been working hard academically and are focusing on our character trait of the month, Kindness. Some of our Rangers have been busy with Running Club, Leadership, and Choir. We can't wait to hear our choir sing at the Rainier's Game this Sunday! Have a wonderful weekend!

Every year the White River School District offers a sack lunch option on half days. If you would like your child to bring home a sack lunch on half days for the 24-25 school year please fill out and submit this form for each student by Friday, October 11th.

Half Day Sack Lunch Form

This year's half days are:

-Thursday, October 17th

-Tuesday, November 5th

-Wednesday, November 6th

-Thursday, November 7th

-Wednesday, November 27th

-Thursday, February 13th

-Friday, April 4th

-Thursday, June 12th (Last Day of School)

Sack lunch includes:

-American Sub Sandwich (Turkey & Cheese)
-Fruit or Vegetable

-Juice Cup
-Chocolate or White Milk

(Milk is offered but doesn't have to be taken)
***** Please note: The Child Nutrition Department is not responsible for the temperature control of the sack lunch meal, including the milk, after it is picked up by the student. Please make sure all sack lunches/milks are stored in a cooler with ice to ensure proper temperatures are maintained. *****

Cost:

Regular Paid Lunch Students $3.50

Free & Reduced Students $0.00

If you don’t want your child to bring home a sack lunch you do not need to fill out this form.

Dental Day is October 9th. This is an optional service. Only students with a completed permission form will be seen by our visiting hygienist. Watch for the permission slips to come home with your student.

A reminder that all medication, even over the counter, must have a written/signed authorization from your LHCP and be kept in the health room. This paperwork must be renewed every school year. This is the state law.

Reminder ANNUAL STUDENT INFORMATION UPDATE is required to be completed as soon as possible.

Each year, we ask parents and guardians to update their student(s) information. It is critical for communication from the district and buildings to have correct phone numbers, and emails. We are also asking you to update health information, housing information, and more.

Please take 5 minutes to complete the digital documents on Family Access to ensure accurate information. Please log on to Skyward Family Access (link to Skyward) and click on “2024-25 Annual Student Information Update”.

*Important* Please fill out the Health History form entirely. Even if your child has something as simple as "seasonal allergies" or "headaches' we need this information in order to assess them for illness. If you have no health concerns for your child at this time please mark the "No” for “Does your student have any health concerns”.

The White River Education Foundation supports White River students district wide. Some of the things they support are our Kindergarten field trip to Northwest Trek and our 5th grade field trip to JA Biz Town. Their annual fundraiser is coming up on November 2nd. Elink is the tool for families to access individual student transportation information. Families will input their address and student grade level to determine bus route number, bus stop location and bus stop times. The WRSD Transportation website includes log in information and other details.
