Belmont Ridge families,
We are so excited for this school year! Under the leadership of our PTO President, Mrs. Farzaneh Riar, your Belmont Ridge PTO board has been hard at work creating new opportunities and projects to serve our teachers, staff, and students. We hope that you will join the BEMS PTO this year to support all the ways we help the school!
If your family is new to Belmont Ridge, we would like to be the first to welcome you to this wonderful community!
How can you participate in the PTO? Joining as a PTO member is one of the easiest ways to support the BEMS community. Throughout the year you will find opportunities to volunteer/support events, attend PTO meetings, and provide input to our programs. Monetary donations (tax deductible) go towards initiatives that directly support our students and staff!

We encourage all families to register (here) on the website to receive important announcements, volunteer for events, and purchase spiritwear (you can also create your account on the website when joining the PTO for the new school year at the link below).
PTO Membership for 2024-25 is NOW OPEN
Some of the ways the BEMS PTO supports our school community include:
departmental support (including software licensing and equipment)
fun family and student events
staff lunches and hospitality events
professional development
teacher wish lists and grant requests
scholarship (awarded to a graduating high school senior who attended BEMS)
facility improvements
PTO memberships are tax deductible!
An annual membership is $25/family.
For a limited time and while supplies last, we’re offering a membership bundle for $40 that includes a family membership and a River Hawks t-shirt (youth or adult size).
On the membership form, you can link your Harris Teeter VIC card to BEMS PTO. This is an easy, passive way to support your PTO throughout the year!

The Spirit Wear Store is open NOW through September 20
Our fall Spirit Wear store is now open for ordering through September 20!
The BEMS Spiritwear Store is now open! Adult men/women and children’s tees are available, as well as drawstring bags (ideal for carrying belongings to class), and stickers!
Spirit wear is an awesome way to support our school and look great doing it too! So, HURRY and place your order by September 20th! Orders will be available for pickup by mid/late October.
Don’t forget to become a PTO Member prior to making your purchase, you’ll receive 10% all spirit wear purchases during this school year! We’re also offering a membership bundle this year that includes a family membership and a t-shirt (youth or adult) for $40. The discount will automatically appear once you’ve purchased a membership and are logged into the BEMS PTO website.
PTO Special Events Chair Vacancy
Special Events Chair Position Description: Oversees all committees that run and organize special events which include, but are not limited to, Family Night, Grade-Level Parties, Cultural Appreciation Day and Spring Carnival. Advertise events via fliers and digital communications. Coordinates everything about the individual events in collaboration with the Board and the school administration, including programming, fundraising, managing volunteers and correspondence with appropriate students, faculty and community members.

At this event, you can:
Bring your supplies into school (or, if you ordered from Sprout, it’s a good time to pick them up).
Locate and set up your child’s locker.
Learn about this year’s Belmont Ridge clubs and activities.

Load Your Locker/PTO Open House Event Volunteers Needed!
Belmont Ridge is excited to kick off the new school year with a Load Your Locker/PTO Open House event for all grades! This free-flow event for all students and parents will be held Tuesday, August 20th from 2:00-4:00pm.
The PTO is looking for volunteers to help make this event successful by assisting us in directing people to the cafeteria, serving sweet treats, handing out PTO flyers, and acting as floaters to help wherever needed. Volunteers will report to the cafeteria upon arrival for further instructions. You can sign up for the time opposite your student’s designated visit time. We greatly appreciate your consideration in signing up below for a shift.
The entire school will be open for all grade levels. We encourage you and your Riverhawk to come out and tour the school, sign up to become a member of the PTO, enjoy a sweet treat, learn about the clubs and activities being offered this year, pick up your school supplies if you ordered them, and help your student load up his/her locker.
