National Walk, Bike, Roll to School Day is on Wednesday, October 2nd!
Please participate with us (weather permitting). Students who are bussed will be dropped off at Birchwood Park in the morning.
- Busses will pick up students at regularly scheduled time, but instead of dropping students off at Stowe, they will drop off at Birchwood Park so we can walk together.
- Birchwood Park is located at 222 Heard Street (between 101st and 102nd Avenue West)
- Teachers will be waiting at Birchwood Park from 7:25 until 7:35 AM.
- At 7:35 we will all start our "Walk to School." Families are welcome to walk with us!
- If you are not able to make it to the site by 7:35, plan to have your child enter school through the main office doors.
Preschool and Special Transportation will still be dropped off at the building and still participate closer to the school.
There will be some staff who will remain at school for those who are unable to participate.
Please be extra cautious driving on this day! We want everyone to be safe and have fun.

Picture Day Volunteers
We are looking for 3 parents (first come first serve) to volunteer on picture day, October 9th. If you are interested, please contact Ms. Riker at kallie.riker@isd709.org.
Per Josten's:
In order to provide an organized and efficient Picture Day for your students and staff, we recommend parent volunteers be present to assist throughout the event.
Your volunteers may be asked to help in the following areas:
- Identifying students and distributing camera cards upon arrival
- Keeping a steady and controlled pace throughout the event
- Making sure students are ready for the camera and looking their best
As a token of appreciation for your parent volunteers, each school is eligible to receive up to four (4) voucher discounts that can be applied to their portrait purchase.
