SCHOOL GOAL #3 🔥🦺🧯
By supporting our students' mental health with mindfulness practices, social-emotional learning (SEL) and trauma-informed classrooms, students will demonstrate more resiliency and self-regulation during the school day.
A part of this goal is ensuring school is a safe and secure place for students to grow and learn. Towards that end, the school has the following measures in place:
- Safety drills throughout the school year: Fire drills, Hold and Secure drill, Lockdown drill. We have already successfully completed all these drills and will continue practicing through the school year.
- New security cameras were installed ahead of the new school year to provide views to all exterior areas of school property and interior hallways.
- Exterior doors are always locked. All visitors must register at the office and have a specific reason to be in the school.
- Supervisors and staff wear visible vests with whistles and carry cell phones when supervising at recess.
- Non-trespassing orders are issued to individuals who are not welcome on school property.
- Exterior lighting illuminate the school when it is dark outside.
- During announcements, safety tips are discussed with students.
From November 1-11, we will be honoring members of our community's armed forces by featuring their photos on the foyer TV screens. If you would like to submit a photo of a family member in uniform, please send it to Ms. Carruthers (stacey.carruthers@eips.ca) . If you submitted a photo last year and would like it to be reused, kindly email Ms. Carruthers to confirm

PAY SCHOOL FEES ONLINE 💻
Wondering when and how to pay for school fees? School fee information for the 2024-25 school year will be posted on the PowerSchool Parent Portal in late September. All fees are due within 30 days of being posted. NOTE: Additional fees may be added throughout the year—for example, at the beginning of each semester, as your child takes part in various activities, or they may be adjusted by changes in selected optional courses in junior and senior high school. If you’re unable to pay your school fees, you can apply to have certain fees waived. The application deadline is Dec. 16, 2024.
As we gear up for our Grade 4, 5 & 6 Ski Trip, (More information to come) we want to remind you about the importance of settling any outstanding school fees before your child can participate in extra-curricular activities. The ski trip fee will only be added to students accounts that have paid their school fees.
