Start with Hello - Sept. 16-20
During the week of September 16-20, Bertram will participate in the Sandy Hook Promise Call-to-Action week, "Start with Hello!" The focus of "Start with Hello" week is to teach students to be socially inclusive and connected to each other. Each day we will have a clothing theme and an activity to "Start with Hello".
Attendance Matters
Bertram's ADA for this past week was 95.04.
ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. We recognize that illnesses and events take place that necesitate absences, however, we do encourage every student to be in school every day he/she is able.
Consistent attendance:
1. Boosts academic performance and grade-level proficiency.
2. Fosters social connections and peer relationships.
3. Encourages responsibility and a sense of routine.
4. Reduces the risk of falling behind and feeling overwhelmed.
Remember: attendance matters and absences add up!
Gifted & Talented Testing Window is Open
There are two referral windows each school year in which referrals for GT testing can take place, one in the fall semester and one in the spring semester.
The dates for referral windows during the 2024-2025 school year are as follows:
Fall semester: September 9 through October 11, 2024
Spring Semester: January 13, 2024 through February 21, 2025
