K-8 Campus Updates
Greetings Grizzly Parents,
As always, thank you for your continued support and commitment to the success of your CGS Grizzly. Please continue to review school expectations with your student(s) as well as academic goals/plans you have established for this quarter.
Also, I need your help and concerted effort to adhere to the procedures for the Car Rider Lines as we have experienced a higher number of unauthorized students being dropped off/picked-up in the front circle. Drop-off/Pick-up in the front circle & parking log is only for those with Administrative Authorization. Otherwise, students should enter the building utilizing the car rider lines. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Finally, Join us as we celebrate our B.E.S.T. Grizzlies for the month of October. The following students have been selected by CGS staff for demonstrating their BEST behavior as it pertains to our School-wide expectations & character traits. Congratulations and keep it up!

High School Campus Updates
Greetings, Grizzly Families!
We want to offer the ASVAB (Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery) aptitude test as a tool to support students in planning postsecondary opportunities. Although the ASVAB is most often associated with the military, it is an assessment for students in grades 10th-12th to discover strengths and skills that will be helpful in choosing future career options. If you would like your scholar to participate in the assessment, please complete the Google form by 11/22/2024. Scores will not be reported to the Armed Forces; however, the test administration is done by members of the Armed Forces on our campus, and students interested in the military can connect with a recruiter.
As always, thank you for partnering with us to ensure a successful school year.

Mrs. Sutton will share a specific Phone/ZOOM advising link for the next two weeks in case there are students who want to schedule a phone or ZOOM in the first two weeks of October.
Introducing NCICU Direct Admission
Introducing NCICU Direct Admission for 26 Colleges and Universities
Twenty-six North Carolina private colleges and universities are offering eligible students more immediate acceptance to their campuses for the 2025-2026 academic year. North Carolina Independent Colleges & Universities (NCICU) recently announced the Direct Admission Program to provide a seamless and swift application process. North Carolina seniors with a weighted GPA of 2.8 or higher can answer a few straightforward questions and then receive information directly from the colleges and universities of their choice, including details about conditional acceptance, specific campus requirements, and available financial aid options.
