Principal Message
Hello Seahawks! As we moved into the first week of November we celebrated Sprit Week. Each day the students and teachers participated in fun activities to showcase their school pride. Spirit week was a great way to improve morale, reduce stress, and create a sense of community. Our students also participated in presentations and activities with the Bird Subsistence Research Program. The Bird Subsistence Research program is sponsored by the Alaska Department of Fish & Game, Division of Subsistence. Students learned more about the shorebirds found here in Quinhagak and our local elders also came to the school to share experiences they have with the birds. Lastly, we hosted our first family literacy night "Books and Blankets" to promote the importance of reading and writing. Thank you to all of the families that participated the students had a great time.
Quyana,
Dr. Crystal Cunningham
