A Message from Dr. Venghaus
Bear Branch Family,
Happy Friday! Next week we will be on a block schedule for fall semester testing. The schedule is linked below. Monday and Tuesday students will be taking Math and English tests - Wednesday and Thursday students will take History and Science tests. Attendance during this time is important. Please ensure students are at school if they are able.
Next week is the last week of the 9-weeks grading period. Report cards will go home when we return from the Break in January. Please know that the report card will decide UIL eligibility. If your child is not being successful, please encourage them to attend tutorials. The most up to date grades and assignments can be found by logging in to the parent portal. Click HERE for directions on how to view your student's grades and attendance.
Is your student missing a jacket, lunch box, or water bottle? Our lost and found is over flowing! Please encourage students to come look for lost items. Any items not claimed at the end of the semester will be donated.
Proud to be your student's principal,
Julia

Lady Bear Basketball
We are excited to share that the Lady Bears 7th Grade B Team took on WillowWood last night at home and came out on top, defeating them with a score of 29-22! This victory keeps their undefeated streak alive with an impressive record of 3-0. A special shoutout to our standout players:
- Ryanne Saldana led the team with 12 points
- Mallory Tolbert contributed 11 points
- Emma Bettinazzi, Catherine Pederson, and Preslea Gentry each added 2 points to the scoreboard.
The 7th Grade A Team played against Willow Wood last night. The girls played an intensely fierce match that went into overtime! We are thrilled to report that they secured a victory with a final score of 31-25! Our top scorers were Taylor Muse, who contributed 11 points, and Violet Browne, with 8 points. Coach Menchaca and Bendele- Williams are incredibly proud of the hard work and determination each girl displayed. Their performance was a true testament to the saying, "teamwork makes the dream work".
The 8th grade B team fell short to Willow Wood last night, 26-9. Outstanding job offensively and defensively by all post players! Zoey PErkins had 4 points, Kayden Mayhall had 2 points and Allie Johnson rebounded her heart out and dribbled the ball up the floor. Impressive second half playing by Hayden Hinkleman. These ladies are 1-2 in district play.
The 8th grade A team lost to Willow Wood, 22-35. An all out team effort! Top scorers were Abigail Rucker with 9 points and Olivia Johnson with 7. Both of these ladies played hard offensively and defensively. Reagan Christopherson and Morgan Taylor added lots of impressive rebounding!
Good Luck to the Lady Bears as they take on Waller, at Waller, next Wednesday.
