Community Newsletter : April 2025
Good morning, Woolie families.
It's hard to believe that we are already sending out the April Community Newsletter. Where has the school year gone?! With so many things going on at the Junior-Senior High School, its no surprise that the days are flying by.
April is no exception when it comes to "things" going on! We have so many activities, both academically and co-curricularly, taking place that we are excited to share with the community. We love all of these events as they showcase the efforts of our students and staff and allow our community to come out and show support for our Woolies!
We are deeply thankful for our strong partnership with the community and are appreciative of all that you do to support our efforts!
Sincerely,
Chris Lowe

Student Council Hosts Guest Speaker Monti Williams: April 28 from 11:30 to 2:00
Last year at our Student Council Conference, we had the chance to hear an incredible keynote speaker who truly left a lasting impact. Our students loved him so much, they were determined to bring him to Millbury—and they made it happen!
A huge thank you to our very generous Parents Club for funding this opportunity!
On Monday, the day we return from break, Monti Washington will be speaking to all students in grades 9–12. We felt it was important to bring his message to our entire student body as soon as possible.
Monti is flying in from LA just to speak with us, and we’re hopeful his words will resonate with all of our students just as they did with our Student Council leaders.
There will be 2 assemblies:
9th &10th Grade: 11:35 -12:35
11th & 12th Grade: 12:45-1:45
Here is his bio in case you want to learn a little more about him:
Monti’s passion for helping students stems from the adversity he faced early on in life. Forced to live in poverty due to his mother’s drug addiction, Monti grew up sleeping on cardboard boxes, living in parks, and being abused by foster parent after foster parent. Until 8th grade Monti was in special Ed. Classes and was held back on two separate occasions. Despite this adversity, Monti went on to obtain two college degrees, become an award winning poet, published author, activist, and nationally recognized actor appearing in several commercials and shows and currently starring in Tyler Perry’s Bruh.
