SUBJECT: National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP)
We have been selected to represent thousands of students across our country by participating in the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) assessment. This assessment monitors what U.S. students know in math and reading areas at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Since 1969, NAEP has provided U.S. educators and the public with reliable profiles of student achievement. Fifty students that are 9 years old from our campus have been chosen. Each NAEP assessment session will take 90 minutes, including transition time and directions. The sessions are scheduled for Wednesday, 01/29/2020. Please contact Hoover for additional information about the assessment. For additional information, sample questions, NAEP publications, and classroom data tools, visit the NAEP website http://nces.ed.gov/nationsreportcard/.
From Mrs. Villarreal
Teachers, Thank you for your patience and understanding regarding the recent cancellations in Guidance Lessons. Dyslexia testing and data interpretation has proven to be more time consuming than I thought. I will try to reschedule if possible.
Anger management and Mentoring forms are still located outside my classroom door. It is not too late to refer a student for these interventions.
Just a reminder, an RtI meeting must have an administrator present, especially if testing is being considered. Please email us and let us know the date and time of your meeting. Make sure all data is entered into DMAC. Parent phone calls or attempts to contact parents should be recorded in the notes section, and don’t forget to add testing accommodations (if needed). The accommodations page should be turned into Mrs. Hoover.
As always, thank you for all you do!!
