A Message from Admin
Dear Doyle Families,
Next week, we begin CAASPP testing for our 3rd–5th grade students. We want to remind everyone how important it is for students to arrive on time so we can maintain a calm, focused testing environment without disruptions. Thank you for your help with setting up our students for success each morning.
These assessments are one way for us to see how our students are progressing academically, and they give us useful information about areas where they shine and where they may need support. But it’s just one measure—and it doesn’t tell the whole story.
These tests don’t know your child the way we do.
They don’t know that your child speaks more than one language, or that they play an instrument, dance, or create amazing art. The tests don’t see how your child makes others laugh, tells thoughtful stories, or helps care for siblings at home. They don’t capture how kind, curious, hard-working, or resilient your child is, how they lift up their friends, ask big questions, or try their best every single day.
At Doyle, we know and celebrate all of these things. Your child is so much more than a test score, and we are so proud of who they are and how they are growing.
We encourage all of our students to do their best over the next two weeks of testing. We know they are well prepared and ready to show what they know.
Next week is also Teacher Appreciation Week, and we’re excited to take time to recognize our incredible educators who show up every day with dedication, heart, and a deep commitment to our students. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating all that they do.
Thank you for being such a strong and caring part of our Doyle community. We’re grateful for your partnership as we move into this important and joyful stretch of the school year.
Proud to be a Dolphin,
Armando and Kristy

CAASPP Testing for 3rd-5th Graders Starts this week!
Students in grades 3-5 will participate in the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) this month from May 6th – May 15th. Doyle students will complete their testing on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8am-10am.
The most important thing you can do to set your student up for success is be sure they get a good night's sleep, eat a good breakfast, and arrive on time every day. Students who arrive late will take their test during a make-up session as there are no interruptions in the classroom once the test has begun.
