Carol will be serving a six-year term, and we couldn't be more excited for her. Please join us in celebrating Carol's achievement and wishing her continued success in this new role. Galileo Leadership Academy cohort honored
On May 23rd, four WBSD teachers were celebrated as they graduated from the Galileo Leadership Academy. The 2022-24 cohort of Galileo teacher leaders included Kelsey Chewins from WBMS, Taylor Carroll from Roosevelt Elementary, Jennifer Mlutkowski from WBHS, and Emily Weiner from WBMS (pictured above left to right). The Galileo Teacher Leadership Consortium provides a teacher leadership program for educational organizations in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties. The academy's curriculum reflects the Teacher Leader Model Standards. We are proud of these teachers for their hard work and dedication to professional growth and student success! Congratulations to our Galileo graduates!
New Scoreboard at WBHS
WBHS is in the final stages of receiving the new scoreboard. The passing of the 2023 Bond allows for capital improvements like this. As we shared last week, the former scoreboard was installed 25 years ago by the same company (grandfather and grandson in left photo above). What technology do you currently use that's 25 years old? It served us well, but we can't wait to see the new scoreboard in action under the lights and as our largest outdoor classroom!
