Good Afternoon, CUSD.

Our sites are all very busy as we are now officially into the second half of the school year. Many of our students and staff took on the Great Kindness Challenge (GKC) this week, spreading their positive energy, compassion, and goodwill throughout our school community with interactive activities and themed spirit days. As part of their GKC, Silver Strand Voyagers hosted a Jazzercise party at Friday's Flagpole Assembly for some fun and fit community building.

One week from today, Friday, February 7th is opening night for CoSA’s Musical Theatre and Drama Conservatory winter play Peter and the Starcatcher. The fun-filled performance is whimsical and creative, and is appropriate for the entire family. In addition to CoSA students, the performance includes students from both CHS and CMS. Per the letter sent out yesterday from our district nurses, we are continuing to see high absentee rates due to illness and encourage everyone to take preventative measures to avoid getting sick. Our maintenance team has provided additional disinfecting measures at the school site and we will continue to monitor the situation next week.
