Counseling Corner
Every year, Seniors at FHS have the opportunity to apply for over $250,000 in scholarships that are open just for Fairfield Students.
Seniors have met with the Counselor's about accessing scholarship applications through this website: https://www.fairfieldsfuture.org/o/fhs/page/scholarships. The Greater Jefferson County Foundation has a website where students can apply for 12 scholarships all at once. In addition, the Greater Jefferson County Foundation has another 11 scholarships available requiring paper applications be filled out in order to apply. All Jefferson County Foundation Scholarships are due February 1st by 4:00pm unless otherwise noted. Students also may apply for many available local scholarships.
These are all great examples of scholarships with varying amounts, eligibility criteria, and renewal options. Here's a brief breakdown:
Ralph Perry Scholarship
- Award Amount: $5,000
- Eligibility: Awarded to 6 seniors each year.
- Renewable: No mention of renewal, so likely a one-time award.
- Focus: General academic achievement or specific eligibility not mentioned.
