We've had a great Homecoming week and I'm looking forward to our Football game tonight and dance on Saturday!
Don't forget that the end of Quarter 1 will be on October 24. Please continue to check PowerSchool to ensure all assignments are submitted. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to your student's teachers.

Homecoming 2024!
Important Dates
- October 18 - Homecoming Football game vs. Meridian at 7:30 pm.
- October 19 - Homecoming Dance ticket sales October 11-17 during lunches. Outside guests must have forms approved by October 16.
- October 22 - Senior Portraits in HS Commons, 2:30-8:30 pm.
- October 22 - Volleyball at home vs. Warren County. JV at 6:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm.
- October 23 - Cross Country at home, 4:00 pm. Senior Night!
- October 23 - College & Career Night in the HS Gym, 5:30-7:30 pm.
- October 24 - End of the 1st Quarter
- October 29 - Volleyball at home vs. Skyline. JV at 6:00 pm and Varsity at 7:00 pm. Senior Night!
- October 30 - Trunk or Treat in the HS Bus loop, 5:30-8:00 pm. See flyer below.
- November 1 - No School; Diwali
- November 4 - No School for students; Parent Teacher Conferences from 10:00am - 6:00 pm. There will be a lunch break for teachers from 1:00-2:00 pm.
- November 5 - No School; Election Day
- November 6 - Underclassmen Photos Makeup Day; last opportunity for underclassmen to have their pictures for the yearbook! Schedule will be posted in school.
- November 11 - No School; Veteran's Day
- November 14 - Family Market in Counseling Hallway at MPHS, starts at 4:00 pm.
- November 14-16 - Fall Play in MS Auditorium; 7 pm.
- November 19 - Senior Portraits in HS Commons, 2:30-8:30 pm.
- November 20 - Partners for Safe Teen Driving presentation in the MS Auditorium
- November 27-29 - No School; Fall Break
Counseling Updates
MPHS College Week (VCAW Event)/MPCS Bullying Prevention Week
- Counselors Available 2:15-3:00 in the Commons with free college application fee waivers for participating schools (list on Canvas by Monday morning)
- Permission Slips for GMU Tour available
10/22- 1:00 Virginia Tech Representative, MPHS Commons, pass required (get from counseling office Tuesday only)
10/23- 5:30-7:30 College & Career Fair, MPHS Gym
Event is free and open to students and parents.
This provides an opportunity for students to explore postsecondary institutions such as two-year colleges, four-year universities, trade schools, and more!
Randolph College Director will conduct on-site admissions during the college fair! Seniors with a completed application and a transcript will be considered for admissions.

Student Registration Verification
Please make sure that you have verified your information in the PowerSchool Parent Portal. The completion of this process is required for ALL returning students.
Parents of returning students must access the PowerSchool Enrollment online forms through the PowerSchool Parent Portal at https://mpark.powerschool.com/public. The online forms contain demographic and emergency information you entered last year. During this process, you will verify the information is accurate or update any information that has changed. Parents will also electronically sign annual agreement forms for school district policies.
At least one parent is required to create a PowerSchool Parent Portal account. If you have multiple children in Manassas Park City Schools, you must verify information for each student, however only one parent account is necessary.
- If you have created a PowerSchool Parent Portal account in a previous school year, please use that account to log in. Please do not create a new account.
- If you have not created a PowerSchool parent account, directions can be found at https://www.mpark.net/resources/for_parents/power_school_for_parents
The completion of this process is required for all returning students. The online forms are now open.
How do I get started?
Visit https://mpark.powerschool.com/public and sign into your PowerSchool Parent Portal
- Select the student you wish to verify data at the top
- Click the ‘Registration’ link on the left side navigation menu
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Click Begin Forms

Exciting October Events with the Manassas Park PTSO!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
The Manassas Park PTSO has a lot of fun events happening this month, and we want you to be a part of it!
Join us this Friday, October 18th, at the Pink Out Homecoming Football Game at 7 PM! We’ll have snacks, face painting, a raffle, and more. It’s a wonderful chance to support our school and enjoy the festivities!
Want to get involved? We’re looking for volunteers to help distribute food and snacks at the Homecoming Dance on Saturday, October 19th. If you’d like to support our students firsthand, please sign up using the link below:

- Join us at the Manassas Park Community Center on Saturday, October 26th, from 2-4 PM for their annual Trunk or Treat.
- There’ll be even more fun at the Manassas Park High School's Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, October 30th.
Parent Teacher Conferences:
As we prepare for our upcoming Parent-Teacher Conference Night, we want to show our appreciation for our dedicated teachers who will be working tirelessly to support our students and families. To make their evening a little brighter, we’re asking for your help in donating snacks and refreshments! Here’s what students from each school can contribute:
