Congratulations Sports Medicine Club
The Sports Medicine Club competed in the State WCTSMA Competition this last Thursday through Saturday.
This year there were 54 schools and over 800 students competing from around the state. FPHS had 23 students that competed this year, and we had two medalist and one poster presentation winner!
State placers include Shivneil Pillay who placed 10th in Strength and Conditioning and Jacob Banke who took 1st place in the EPAC (medical resume and interview). Shivneil also won first place in the poster leadership category. Adrian Broussard made it to the top 20 in state in wrist speed taping, and Esperanza Behm and Nick Langlois barely missed the top 20 in ankle speed taping. Top 25 finishers included: Rylee Aloisio (Anatomy and Physiology), Jordan Disney (Strength and Conditioning), Olesya Korniychuk (First Aid and CPR), and Jacob Banke (Medical Terminology).
We placed 14th in state as a team! 🥳
CONGRATULATIONS!
Kudos to the Franklin Pierce Bands on their performances at our regional large group festival last Saturday. Students from the Concert and Symphonic Bands performed two great sets and received live feedback from local band directors. Congrats, FP musicians!
DECA
The Franklin Pierce DECA chapter competed in the State Career Development Conference this last weekend in Bellevue. Below are some exciting moments from their first SCDC in many years.
Prior to the conference our students had to take a 100-question exam pertaining to business and marketing. Then, at the conference, students presented two role-play scenarios. For role-plays, competitors are given a scenario to review and determine a solution for in 10 minutes and then present that information to a judge for another 10 minutes. The competition is highly competitive with thousands of students from across the state participating and our students did AMAZING!
To start the conference off, Raul Alvarado was awarded Area 7 Member of the Year. This award was nomination based and given to a student who showed exceptional dedication to their chapter and community. Go Raul!
At the Grand Award Session, FOUR of our Cardinals were called on stage! Ivy Truong was a finalist in Principles of Business Management and Administration for receiving a top role-play score, Miya Nguyen was a finalist in Principles of Hospitality and Tourism for receiving a top role-play score and Jasmine Pulido was a finalist for Food Marketing for receiving a top role-play score. Then to wrap up the Award Session, Jordan Disney placed 7th in state in Sports & Entertainment Marketing, qualifying him to compete at the International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California!!!
You would have never guessed that this was the first time our students attended SCDC as they were all highly scored in their respective competitions. The students who competed this weekend included: Boston Chang, Lindsay Gade, Ivy Truong, Honesty Lopez-Hopkins, Sofia Ramirez, Jasmine Pulido, Miya Nguyen, Jordan Disney, Raul Alvarado, Terina Laban and Shivneil Pillay.
Share Your Ideas: Enhancing Parent Involvement!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I've been reflecting on the valuable conversations I've had with many of you. It's clear there's a shared eagerness among parents to support our school, yet a common theme emerges: uncertainty about available volunteer opportunities. Your enthusiasm is truly inspiring, and I want to ensure that every parent has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully.
That's why I'm collaborating with our dedicated staff to streamline the process and create a comprehensive list of volunteer opportunities. Your input is invaluable in this endeavor.
If you have any thoughts or suggestions on how parents can get involved, please don't hesitate to email me directly at bmarzano@fpschools.org. Let's work together to make our school community even stronger.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
Brixey Marzano
Principal
As we finalize the transition between Skyward and Qmlativ, we ask that parents and guardians review and update their student's information in our Qmlativ/Skyward database. This information allows FPS and your student's school to stay connected with you and access vital information about your child's health and safety.

Thank you in advance for completing the Annual Student Information Update!
Attention Senior Cards and Families!
It is now time to purchase a GRAD AD for your senior. Grad ads are pages that appear in the yearbook that are made SPECIFICALLY for your student! Grad Ads are now a flat rate of $100 for one full-page, full-color, fully customizable ad!
Grad ads usually include baby/childhood photos, family photos, senior portraits and a message from the family.
To purchase a Grad Ad, follow the instructions for FPHS students below:
***Please note - Grad Ads are due by April 1st, but purchasing in advance is recommended to guarantee a spot. Grad Ad messages and photos must be "school appropriate" as outlined in the FPHS Student Handbook to be printed.
SENIOR YEARBOOK ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey Seniors!
A friendly reminder from the FPHS Yearbook Staff....Send your SENIOR PORTRAITS to the Yearbook as soon as possible! If you took Senior Photos this year and would like them to appear in the yearbook (replacing your school photo) now is your chance. These must be high quality photos and school appropriate - including no mirror pics, selfies, or distracting filters. They must be clear, close-up and only have the senior in the photo.
Send your photo files to FPHS_yearbook@fpschools.org or talk to Ms. Rice in 801 - a yearbook staff member will get back to you if your photo doesn't meet standards.
