Congratulations to the 2021-2022 Cobb Wind Symphony! Last years UIL performance was submitted for judging to The Mark of Excellence national music competition. Cobb students in Mrs.Tyagi's art class were asked to submit a unique representation following the theme, "Home for the Holidays". These ornament masterpieces will represent a unique perspective of home using a non-conventional surface. The artwork will be displayed publicly at the Bush Center located in Southern Methodist University Dallas, TX. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase FISD and Cobb Middle School. We can't wait to see what our students create!

The FISD SSS team will be hosting a Parent Series each month to give parents an opportunity to connect and take part in discussions related to the whole-child model/SEL monthly topics. This month's meeting will take place at Emerson High School on September 27th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. Childcare will be provided! Please send this flyer out to parents on your campus and remind them that registration is required (scan the QR code to register).

Reflections has been a staple arts program in many schools for over 50 years. Through the efforts of our Local PTAs, millions of students have found a creative outlet in the areas of dance choreography, film production, literature, music composition, photography, and visual arts.

Express your artistic talent and tell us how you plan to show your voice through Reflections!

Visit any of the participating businesses on Saturday, October 1 and Sunday, October 2 and use #treatfisd when ordering to receive a special discount or deal. While enjoying your favorite food and/ or beverage, you will read a book (or some sort of reading material) and talk about what you have read. Not with a group? Just enjoy the time eating and reading.

If you wish to join your student for lunch, visits will be: by reservation only, and include one student and his/her parent/guardian (maximum of 2 parents). There will be one reservation per lunch grade level (8th, 7th or 6th) each day. Click here to reserve your table.
