Quarter one is coming to an end! I have truly enjoyed watching the progress that our students have made, the projects that they have completed and the friendships that are being forged.

Next week is parent teacher conference week. This is a week that we get to brag about your children. We take great pride in the work that we do with our students!

Monday, September 30, is a regular school day, 3:30 dismissal. Tuesday, October 1, through Friday, October 4, are early out days, 1:30 dismissal.

Fall Break is October 7 through 11. Hopefully, we get to experience some wonderful fall weather. Every year after fall break, students return wearing jackets and sweaters. Please! Please! Please! put your child’s name on anything that they can take off or set down.

Cold and flu season is upon us. Even though it is important for your child to attend school, it is also important to keep them home when they are ill. Here are some guidelines from Mrs. Bustamante in the Health Office.

• A child with a temperature of 100 degrees or higher, must be kept at home
• Do not allow your child to return to school until they have been fever free for 24 hrs without medication
• A child with a cold and a deep or barking cough belongs at home even if they Do Not have a fever
• Hand washing is a simple yet crucial activity that helps prevent the spread of germs & diseases

This Wednesday evening is STEM Night - 5:30 - 7:00pm. There will be presentations and lots of learning opportunities.
