PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we settle into the fall season, there's a sense of excitement and energy at our school. Students are diving into new topics and making great strides in their learning.
Attendance plays a key role in student success. Every day spent in class is an opportunity to learn and grow. When students miss school, it can be challenging for them to keep up. Research shows a strong link between regular attendance and academic achievement. Students who attend school consistently tend to perform better on tests, earn higher grades, and are more likely to graduate. This is a crucial foundation for future success in college and beyond.
I’m proud to share that our average attendance rate has been above 94.2% since the start of the year! This reflects the dedication of our families and staff in making sure our students stay on track. We track our daily attendance during morning announcements and plot the numbers on a graph to celebrate our progress. Check out the chart below for our attendance journey over the first 36 days of school!
Just a reminder: our district’s policy is that any absences beyond 12 days without a doctor’s note are marked as unexcused. Our goal is to help each student maintain an attendance rate of at least 93%, which is considered the minimum for steady academic progress. This policy is designed to support all students in reaching their full potential.
Of course, we understand that there will be times when your child may need to miss school. We encourage you to talk with them about the importance of being here as often as possible. If you’re facing challenges with attendance, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me or our school counselor, Angie Kerbel. We’re here to support you and your child.
Warm regards,
Amanda
P.S. Don’t forget to join us at the Laps for Leadership Fundraiser Kick-off tomorrow after school in the bus loop. It’ll be a fun time!

DEAN OF STUDENTS' UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
We’re excited to kick off this year’s annual fundraiser, Laps for Leadership! Join us tomorrow right after school at the Bus Loop for a celebration complete with sweet treats and plenty of school spirit!
Let’s come together to make this year's fundraiser a huge success! Our goal is to raise $25,000, which will directly support enriching student experiences at Eagle Crest. Funds will go toward covering field trip transportation, paraprofessional support in classrooms, essential supplies, and exciting special programming and projects for each and every grade level. This is a beloved event for our students, and if we reach our goal, we’ll reveal a super-secret fall surprise at the end of the month! Every contribution, big or small, makes a difference.
Ready to help us reach our goal? You can start fundraising here: https://givebutter.com/Laps4Leadership
