Rocket Update September 16th
Week 7 π
This week I wanted to use this Principal Bulletin to address some ways we are continuing to address safety at Rose Lane.
As most of you are aware there was communication sent from the district this past week regarding online threats that were made nationally. Our district has always been so great about communicating how we are addressing these situations. I wanted to let you know a few things we are doing at Rose Lane to ensure the continued safety of our campus.
1. Our campus continues to practice school safety lockdowns and our Assistant Principal will reach out through DOJO following any of these practice lockdowns to let parents know we practiced that day.
2. We continue to require identification in the front office for any visitors at Rose Lane.
3. Our teacher's will be receiving an in-depth safety training in November. The training is being provided to all schools' in the Madison District to revamp our safety protocols and practices as a school site.
4. Our new social worker, Mrs. Loyer, is working on scheduling a safety night for parents. More information regarding this event will be shared once we have secured a date and time.
I want to thank you for trusting us with the safety of your child and we always welcome feedback that you may have regarding any concerns. I also want to ensure you that as we start planning for our school rebuild a main focus of our discussion will be safety and security of the new campus.
I thank you for your time reading this today and look forward to our continued work together this year.
Your Rose Lane Principal,
Andre Reyes, M.Ed.
