Clinton Elementary 2024
From the Principal
Dear Families,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Clinton Street Elementary School! I hope you and your family have had an enjoyable summer and are ready to begin a new school year. Our teachers, faculty and support staff have been busy getting our building and classrooms ready for your children. Our school has such a caring and dedicated staff which strives to meet the individual needs of your children and seeks to maintain connections with you. I am very fortunate to be part of this wonderful learning community.
I encourage you to take an active role in your child’s education by joining our PTA, attending school-wide functions and volunteering for various events. Research shows the more actively involved families are in their child’s education, the greater achievement children will have in school. In order to provide a safe environment for your children, we ask any adults visiting our building to present appropriate identification and wait in the foyer.
Please continue to check your child’s backpack on a daily basis, especially during these first few weeks of school, for important school forms that will need to be signed and returned as well as information about upcoming events.
If you have questions, please contact your child’s teacher, call our main office at 677-3621 or check our school/district webpage at www.wscschools.org. We look forward to working with your child, and with you in the coming year. My door is always open to you. Please feel free to call (677-3623), email (kmccartan@wscschools.org) or stop by to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child.
Sincerely,
Kimberly M. McCartan
Principal

Grade 4-5 45 minutes
Emergency Cards and Important Medical Forms

NYS Guidelines Regarding Administration of Medications in Schools
If your child is required to take any medication, please send in a written request from your child’s physician, which indicates the frequency and the dosage of the prescribed medication and is to be brought in the prescribed labeled bottle by an adult to the Health Office. Please do not send any aspirin, cold pills, cough drops, inhalers, etc. to school with your child. Medication will only be dispensed under the described conditions and this will be strictly adhered to within a school situation.
Lunch/Breakfast Programs
Meals will continue to be free for all students for the 24-25 school year (second meals and snacks are not free and will need to be paid for at time of service).
Transportation
Be sure your child is at the bus stop five minutes earlier than the time listed.
The bus may be late picking your child up or bringing your child home for the first two weeks of school, as drivers learn the new routes and younger students learn how to get on and off the bus. Sometimes adjustments need to be made to the routes, as well.
Your patience is appreciated!
School Closings
