Hello Norris Lions!

We can't wait to see everyone out tonight at the Norris Fall Festival! We are looking forward to an evening of fellowship, community, and fun!

At the Fall Festival tonight, please be sure to stop in the main hallway for BINGO brought to you by our Norris Student Council to support the United Way! Bingo cards are $2, with proceeds going directly back into our Millard families in need. Participants can purchase as many BINGO cards as they would like, and win gift cards for their prizes!

As a reminder, the Fall Festival is our school event for the upcoming holiday. October 31st will be a 'normal' day of learning in our classrooms! Please do not send your child in costumes on this day.

We are excited to celebrate as a school community tonight! Thank you in advance for all of the donations, time volunteered, and the fun that tonight will bring!

The PTO Cookie Dough Fundraiser has begun! Information was sent home last Friday in your student's backpack!

Orders may be placed until November 1st and will be available for pick-up on November 25th!

Each week, all students at Norris will have a lesson practicing a social skill. These weekly lessons are called our ROAR Skills of the Week! ROAR skills are practiced in the classroom during a Morning Meeting. All staff members are on the lookout through the week for students to be practicing the weekly skill. Students who demonstrate the skill of the week may earn a ROAR ticket and be entered into a weekly grade level drawing.

Please take some time each week to review the ROAR Skill of the Week with your child!

All students are practicing the calming exercise of Fire Hands during the month of October! Practice this at home when your child is in need of a tool to help them calm down!

We require that no peanuts, peanut butter or foods containing nuts of any kind are send to school for snack or lunch. All lunches purchased at school are already guaranteed peanut-free.

Students with food allergies have reserved seating in the lunchroom.

Hand washing will be a priority. If your child has any nut products for breakfast, we would greatly appreciate that his/her hands are washed with soap and water prior to arriving at school.

Parents of Mane Event!

I am so excited for you to see your kiddos perform! Our concert this semester in the evening is at Millard South and is starting at 6:30 pm. Please have your child arrive between 6:00-6:25. Students should wear a monochrome or one color outfit that relates to the emotions from the movies Inside Out and Inside Out 2! More information is on the flyer attached! Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have. This concert will be amazing!

T-Shirt order forms were sent home with the children in choir and are being offered to adults as well! Students in the choir will receive a shirt that matches the color that their grade voted for. Adult shirts will be black with the design. If you have a child that is in choir, PLEASE USE THE FORM THEY RECEIVED FROM MRS. ENGELKAMP. Whatever color they have received is the color their shirt will be. Any adult that would like a shirt, please email Mrs. Engelkamp at heengelkamp@mpsomaha.org.

All money for the shirts need to be exact change and given to Mrs. Grothe in the office.

Students/parents/guardians can "bid" on a stuffie through the bidding forms on the main webpage.

Stuffies start at $2 and can only increase by dollar amounts (so no pennies or other coins). On the top of the auction form itself, there is a link to see the amounts others have put in, so anyone can keep bidding on a specific stuffie if they want to multiple times. The highest bidders will be contacted through email, so be sure to fill out the bidder information form on the main webpage!

Boys Town South Omaha is holding a free Common Sense Parenting class in Spanish.
