Dear Hayshire Families,
The final results from the 2025 Hayshire Read-A-Thon are in! Mrs. Stremmel's class came in first place with 7,904 minutes read. And, the grand total for Hayshire Elementary... 87,880 minutes were read! We surpassed our goal of 50,000 minutes! We will celebrate with a PTO sponsored Glow Party on Friday, March 21! Thank you to our wonderful PTO for organizing our Hayshire Read-A-Thon!
For the month of March, our special teachers and specialists had the honor of selecting Hayshire Students of the Month. Congratulations to Gwen and Harper Sematoske from Second Grade for receiving this recognition. The twins demonstrate values such as perseverance, character, community, and excellence! Gwen and Harper were recognized at Monday's school board meeting.
The Central York Education Association’s Battle of the Buildings returns! Teacher teams from each of our buildings will battle it out with juniors and seniors through a variety of crazy events and games to raise funds for scholarships for students pursuing careers in education. These teams will battle it out on Friday, March 21, 2025. Doors open at 6:30 PM. The event begins at 7 PM. Come and cheer on your teachers! To purchase tickets online, click on this link.
This year, our third graders will take the ELA and Math PSSA. ELA will take place on April 23, 24, and 25. The Math portion will take place on April 29 and 30. On Thursday, PSSA letters were sent home with our third graders. Third graders and families are welcome to sign up to attend a fun and informative evening event on Wednesday, April 2 at 6 PM.
Our Parent-Teacher Conferences are in full swing! It is wonderful to see so many of our Hayshire families in attendance. Thank you for your continued support in your child's education.
