Dear LOHS Families,

Term 2 exams will take place this week on Thursday, January 30 and Friday, January 31, 2025.

The schedule is as follows:

• Thursday, January 30: 1st and 2nd period exams – 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.
• Friday, January 31: 3rd and 4th period exams – 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

Students will be transported home shortly after the 10:45 a.m. dismissal using district transportation. AM pick-up times will remain the same as a normal school day.

Please note: OSTC Students should follow the schedule below.

• Thursday, January 30: AM students attend OSTC, NO PM OSTC; this absence will be excused. 1st and 2nd hour final exams at LOHS from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

• Friday, January 31: NO AM or PM OSTC.
  AM OSTC students will attend LOHS for their 3rd and 4th hour final exams from 7:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.

World-Class Instructional Design and Assessment (WIDA) testing for all Multilingual Learner (MLL) students will take place from January 27 through April 4. This assessment helps us understand and support your child’s language development and academic progress. If you are a parent or guardian of an MLL student, please check the newsletter sent prior for more details. Thank you for your partnership in your child’s education!

Please encourage your student to look for service-learning opportunities on the LOHS Service Learning website. All opportunities are listed in x2VOL under the Green “Find Opportunities” button.

SENIORS: In Order to Walk at Graduation: All Service Hours, along with a completed reflection for each event, must be submitted through each student’s x2VOL account no later than the Friday after Spring Break of your senior year, which is April 4, 2025 for the 2024-25 school year.

For 3rd quarter graduates, hours are due the Friday after Winter Break, which is February 21, 2025.

(Remember, a subscription is required for sports broadcasts, but nearly half of your cost comes directly back to our broadcast program so we can maintain/buy the equipment necessary to provide the live broadcasts!)

Guided After School (GAP) program that offers various clubs for our students at Lake Orion High School. Each club is led by our outstanding staff at LOHS. All After School clubs will abide by Lake Orion High School rules and current policies.
