Roller Pink Out
Shout out to our amazing staff in our elementary, high school and administration buildings for their participation in our 2023 Pink Out for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Staff made a donation in order to dress down (and wear something pink) on Thursday, October 12 - the same day as our pink out football game. We are happy to report that we collected $350 in donations which will go directly to the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.
Sight Word Spiders
Mrs. Batista's 3rd-grade class engaged in a themed activity called "Sight Word Spiders" to embrace the spooky season. Each child had their own set of sight words to practice, and they creatively wrote these words onto the spider's eight legs. Additionally, they selected one sight word to compose a sentence on the spider's abdomen. These eerie arachnids now adorn their classroom, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Our Elementary Students Have PRIDE
During the initial weeks of the school year, our dedicated teachers have been diligently instructing and reinforcing our school-wide PRIDE expectations. We firmly believe that nurturing these character traits not only enhances our students' educational experience but also equips them with essential skills for a successful life. We kindly request your support in promoting these expectations at home to further solidify a culture of Roller PRIDE.
Our inaugural PRIDE Club celebration is scheduled for November 3rd. Students who consistently demonstrate outstanding PRIDE throughout the first marking period will be nominated by their teachers to partake in a delightful morning event known as "Pancakes with Principals."
PE All Stars of the Month
Every month, Ms. Schuyler selects two students from each of her physical education classes who exemplify the school's PRIDE criteria for her class. These outstanding students are awarded a certificate, a Gatorade, a nutritious snack, and have their photograph taken. Their photos are then proudly showcased at the school and shared through the school newsletter and social media.
Congrats to these PE All-Stars!
What does PRIDE look like in PE?

I ntegrity – Follow all rules for class even if no one is looking.
D edication – Be on time. Remember sneakers.

Homecoming Dance - October 28th
The Junior Class is happy to announce that the homecoming dance is right around the corner and we are gearing up for a wonderful red carpet worthy evening!
Our dance will be held on October 28th from 7-10 pm in the main gym of the High School. Students in 9-12th grade are invited to attend. Dress code is semiformal
Tickets will go on sale October 18th during high school lunches and will be $10 a ticket. You can purchase tickets with cash or CashApp. Tickets will also be available at the door. If students wish to bring a guest from another school they must fill out the required paperwork from the office before Friday, October 27th
A reminder that while this is a fun event, all school rules and expectations will be required to be followed during the dance, and failure to do so will result in students being removed. Students who are suspended will not be allowed to attend so it is important that all students student demonstrate their Roller Pride over the next few weeks.
We cannot wait to see you all in your Hollywood Best!

Welcome Ms. Sunday
Hello Roller Family!
I’m Brittany Sunday and I am excited to be the new middle school counselor. I am coming from a social work organization with 13+ years of experience working with parents and children. I am the mom of twin boys, Carson and Cayson. My obsessions are coffee, shopping, and creating things. I have a small business making shirts and laser-engraved gifts. I am excited to be here and support the students and staff.
Cafeteria Spotlight
On October 12, 2023, Executive Chef, Gaetano Mastrangelo (known as Chef Guy), from Chartwells, visited the Jr/Sr high school to work with the cafeteria staff and to get feedback from the students. Chef Guy prepared a taste test for students, featuring Jenny-O turkey kielbasa as well as a medley of kielbasa, Tyson chicken, vegetables, and rice mixed with a blend of cajun seasoning. Students in each lunch were welcomed to taste test and provide feedback to Chef Guy in order to determine if this recipe would be added to the lunch menu. The overall feedback was positive and we look forward to hosting Chef Guy again soon!
