IMPORTANT! WASC Parent/Guardian Survey
Eagle, Families!
John Glenn High School is currently going through the WASC Self-Study process to get ready for our WASC visit in February 2025. WASC is the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, which is the accrediting organization for high schools and colleges on the West Coast.
The WASC process is important because it:
- Validates the integrity of the school’s program and student transcripts
- Facilitates transfer of credits to other English-speaking schools — critical for college/university acceptance worldwide, as well as when a student transfers to another high school.
- Fosters the continuous improvement of the school’s programs and operations to support student learning
- Assures a school community that the school is a trustworthy institution for student learning
Your input is very important to this process. Please complete the WASC Parent/Guardian Survey linked below. To complete the survey, please click the link below or go to: tinyurl.com/WASC-Parent
If you have any questions, please reach out to Dr. Mendoza, Asst. Principal.

Updated Cell Phone Policy - STARTS 1/7/2025
Eagles,
We are launching an updated JGHS Cell Phone Policy (see link below) starting Tuesday, 1/7/2025. This week, administrators are going into all English classes to present our new Cell Phone Policy to the entire student body. In addition to classroom presentations, families will receive this policy via USPS mail, Schoology, and PowerSchool Messenger. A copy will also be placed in your box by the end of this week. Please display it in your classroom during the Spring Semester.
Cell phones and other devices, such as earbuds and headphones, are permitted during snack and lunch, as well as before and after school. We take the education of our Eagles seriously and want to support students' undivided attention to instruction and classwork. Thank you for your attention to this important expectation.
