The 8th Grade Boys' HSPT Course prepares young men for the High School Placement Test. Most Catholic high schools and some private schools use the HSPT as an entrance exam. Due to the popularity of the course, we have expanded our enrollment this year to six sections. There is now a new section in June and a fall session in the Woodlands in addition to the one at the Swift house near Rice University.

DETAILS

1. The 8th Grade Boys' HSPT Course is open to all 8th grade boys who are seeking admission to Houston area Catholic or private schools, and to all boys who would simply like to improve their standardized test taking skills.

2. The full course takes place on four separate Saturdays. Please choose which section will work best for your son's schedule.

3. If your son plays basketball, be aware that he may have conflicts with SECTION 3

4. If your son is planning to take the ISEE entrance exam, please note that he will miss a class in SECTION 3

5. We can only accept 30 participants in each section of the course. Acceptance is based on a first come-first serve basis.

6. Please sign up for only one section as the exact same material is covered in each section.

7. All materials for the course are provided, including pencils and scrap paper.

8. An HSPT additional practice book will be given to each participant on the first day of the course.

9. It is expected that each student is personally motivated to attend the course.

10. The directors of 8th Grade Boys' HSPT Course reserve the right to dismiss any student who is uncooperative and disruptive to the course's overall program.

The cost of the program is $250.

We are now asking that payment be made in full to insure your son's spot.

The balance of $200 is due on the first day of the program.

If your son will miss one or more classes, please let us know beforehand.
