Dear Families,
As the year draws to a close and the winter season is upon us, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for your continued support and partnership. It has been a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and countless memorable moments here at Legacy Elementary.
As we look forward to the new year, we are excited about the opportunities it holds. Our dedicated teachers and staff are committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Winter break will begin on December 21st and classes will resume on January 6th. During this time, we encourage families to enjoy the holiday season, spend quality time together, and create lasting memories.
Though school will be closed, please remember that our online resources are available for your child's continued learning and exploration. Additionally, feel free to reach out via email if you have any questions or require assistance during the break.
On behalf of the entire Legacy Elementary staff, I wish you a joyful and restful winter break. May this time bring happiness, peace, and renewal to you and your loved ones. We look forward to seeing our Labs in the new year!
Warm regards,
Kirsten O’Hara

It is almost time to register your new LCPS student for the 2025/26 school year!
The online pre-registration portal for kindergartners and students new to LCPS will open on Monday, Jan. 6. Current LCPS students do not need to complete this process. The LCPS student registration process involves two steps: online pre-registration and in-person registration appointments. The online pre-registration process includes determining your student’s home school, gathering the documents required for registration and uploading them to the pre-registration portal. Once pre-registration is complete, your student’s school will contact you to schedule a registration appointment to be held after Feb. 3, 2025. Paper registration forms are also available at your student’s home school, or you may download them from the LCPS website. If you have questions, please contact your student’s home school or LCPS Student Registration at RegistrationServices@lcps.org. See more information about Student Registration on the LCPS website.
