Message from the Principal
Community Forum
You are invited to a Community Forum on Wednesday, January 22nd at 6:00pm - 7:00pm in the auditorium.
As many of you know, from 2015-2024 we were a Leader In Me school, but after many discussions, and input, we decided this was no longer meeting the needs of our community so we embarked on a journey to determine our next school focus.
Our exploration committee, that is comprised of staff, students, and families, have been researching and exploring new focus areas based on an interest survey that was sent out last year.
After months of discussion, research, visiting another school, and planning we are ready to make a recommendation, but we still want to gain more feedback and input from you, so we are inviting you to this "Community Forum" to hear from our team about where we have been, where we are now, and where we recommend going. There will be an opportunity to provide input and also a time to ask questions. This is an important event that will guide our future, so we hope to see you there.
*At this time, childcare is not provided.*
Expectation Assemblies
This past week your child had the opportunity to attend our Expectations Assembly. After every week-long break, we reset school-wide expectations, which are: Be Kind, Be Responsible, and Be Safe.
1st-5th grade students get to participate in a game-like activity that reinforces these expectations. This last week they played a form of "Wheel of Fortune" to further enhance their understanding of these critical expectations. They have an amazing time working as a team and determining how to be kind, how to be responsible, and how to be safe on campus.
Kindergarten classes get an individual classroom assembly where we discuss these same expectations. They get BLTs (Behavior Leadership Tokens) by giving examples of these school-wide expectations.
Office Nook
Please remember to contact the front office to report any absences. You can reach them at 408-522-8229. In the near future, we will be sharing an attendance phone line. You will be able to call this number and leave a message about your child's absence.
